November 2012 was an active month for ultrasound usage across the three academic sites (Victoria Hospital – Emergency Department, University Hospital – Emergency Department, St. Joseph’s Health Care – Urgent Care Centre) covered by the Division of Emergency Medicine.  A total of 837 studies were performed and archived in November 2012.  Roughly 40 percent of studies were performed by physicians training to become competent in basic ED ultrasound applications.
