Point of Care Ultrasound Interest Group wins innovator grant

An application put forth by the Point of Care Ultrasound Interest Group was selected as a winner of the Hippocratic Council Innovator Grant last week.  The funding will support a student-driven education initiative, in partnership with industry and faculty, that aims to bring hands on ultrasound training to undergraduate medical students at the Schulich School of Medicine at Western Univeristy.  While details are still being finalized, an ultrasound-focused symposium is to take place in late August 2013 at the state of the art Canadian Surgical Technologies and Advanced Robotics.  Congratulations to all involved in this exciting project!
