Critical Care Western’s highly successful, annual critical care ultrasound course was held on August 20th and 21st 2015.  The 6th iteration of the course offered a record-breaking 72 participants the opportunity to be trained in the application of critical care ultrasound and critical care echocardiography.  Using a flipped classroom approach, where 5 hours of lecture content is given ahead of time (online), the course offers 10 hours of practical training in image acquisition and interpretation.

An additional highlight of the course this year was the live stream of an in vivo critical care echocardiogram from Montreal.  Highlighting a new software program called Reacts, this session was able to bring our audience of 100 faculty and particpants to the bedside in an ICU to interpret real time, echo images.  Simply outstanding.

Clips here recorded from Reacts (poor audio from our London end due to being in an auditorium)
